Cute FTP

Cute FTP is the FTP program that I use. Cute FTP has a user friendly interface makes transferring files between your PC and remote computers easy! It is rated the "best file transfer protocol client on the Internet". It is easy to use.

FTP program

An FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program is needed for you to give your files to your host. Not only your HTML files, but your graphics, sound files, and so on. If you want it on the web, you have to give it to your host so they can put it on the web. (Yeah, I know, "duh!") Cute FTP take the files you select and hands them up to your host. That's your upload. It also let's me select files that my husband has on a host, and hands them down to my computer. That's the download.

It is fairly easy to use.

The Cute FTP program that I use was set up by my partner, my husband. All of the ''Log On'' information was put in place for me.

It is a shareware program.

I have an old ''Ad-ware'' version. I never have a problem with this program. Any trouble with my uploads are because of some phone line problem. The program sets up quickly with simple prompts.
